Holy moly, what a road trip! We were on the road by 4am and although the kids didn't fall asleep until 2 HOURS later(!), it was a great start. Around 7am we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for a super yummy pancake and eggs breakfast and then hit the road again.
Kayla and Gavin really did such a great job. We made only one more stop after breakfast for gas and then powered through the rest of the way. It ended up being a 9 hour drive. Even though we hit traffic (for about an hour) at the tail end of our trip it all seemed to go by very fast. SO much easier than I thought it would be!
So we finally got to Mike and Kassy's and we immediately settled in!
Our first full day here we just took it easy, resting up from our long day on the road, and went to the neighborhood park.

We also showered tons of love on the Vanderlaan pups, Jersey and Pele.......
and completely wore them out!
