Our fantastic friends, Mike and Kassy, came out last week for a 4-day weekend visit! WOOHOO! We love us some Vanderlaan time :)! Mike recently got home from a deployment so they made the 7+ hour drive to see us. Although I'VE seen both of them (separately) in the last year, it had been since Oct. 2008 that the four of us were all together (6 including Kayla and Gavin). It was a great visit!
(I don't know what's going on with my crazy eyes but this is the only one we got of Kassy and I)
Recently Garrett finished up his bachelors degree. For various reasons he didn't really want me to post about it, no matter how proud of him I was. But of course Mike and Kassy could not pass this opportunity up to celebrate with us in good humor. They surprised Garrett with some caps and t-shirt they made for Kayla and Gavin.
We had pretty good weather while they were here so we took a little trip to the park. It was a good opportunity to test out my new camera some more :)
That's right, we know how to show our guests a good time. Come out and visit us and maybe we'll take you to the park too!
Honestly though, we had a blast with you guys! Thanks Mike and Kassy for making the drive down to see us!
