Easter 2010

How sweet are my babies in their Easter attire!!

We had a great Easter this year because it was the first one we spent as a family.  Not just as four, but as a family period.  Garrett and I haven't actually been together on Easter since 2007!  I know, crazy, but thus is the life of a military family.  For the first several years of our marriage it was Valentine's Day.  For various reasons due to the Army we were not able to spend Valentine's day together.  Then it seemed to just switch on over to Easter as the consistent missing holiday.  That was a big bummer because I seriously missed celebrating the day Jesus arose from the grave and saved all those who asked from their sins with my partner in life.  It was just not the same getting all dressed up and going to church without him.  So anyhoo, we were very happy to spend the day together.  Some new friends invited us over for dessert and a little egg hunt.  We had had them over for dinner the week before and Kayla and their little boy, Ferris, who is the same age as Kayla, majorly hit it off.  They played so well together and really seemed to enjoy each others company.  Needless to say, they were a little excited to see each other again!

Thanks again Eric and Melissa for having us over!
