Well Kayla and I are back home. The past week and a half has been a little crazy busy, but so much fun. For the last week we were in AZ with Garrett and it was really such a blessing to come together, just the three of us, and reconnect as a family. (Of course the traveling experience would not be complete without Kayla coming down with a case of diarrhea resulting in a yeast infection and trip to urgent care.) Anywho....Garrett and Kayla were able to spend quality time with each other and really form a close bond. She definitely knows who her daddy is and she just loves being with him. We have about a month to go before Garrett finishes this class he's in and then he'll be back in SD for about a week, and then back to Georgia for jump school. Time is really starting to fly by, only about two more months to go before we're all under the same roof again. Here's just a few photos and video from AZ.

As always, all good things must come to an end. Yesterday arrived and it was time for Kayla and I to pack up and head back home. We made the 1 1/2 hour drive to the Tuscon airport without problems and even got through security and the wait to board the plane without issue.......and then......it all went to crap. Our flight was scheduled to take off right about the time Kayla would usually go down for her afternoon nap. She was getting a little restless and fussy, but the hope was that she would just go to sleep as normal...ha..silly mommy she was thinking. It started out ok, we had the whole row to ourselves and she thought she was hot stuff sitting in a seat like a big girl.

And then it came time to take off and the FAA rule is that she has to be either in my lap or a car seat. This she was not happy about and already being tired and grumpy, Kayla decided it was time to initiate her mommy in the 'screaming ballistic baby on board club'...good times. She couldn't fall asleep so I was left to just let her do whatever it was she wanted to do to avoid the screaming. And then there was the lady behind us.....Kayla discovered her flip flopped toe exposed foot on one of the arm rests and being a curious little girl she wanted to examine those toes. Every time I would move her away from the toes she would have a little melt down, and this woman, instead of making my life a bit easier by removing her nasty a** foot from the armrest, she would wiggle her toes to encourage Kayla to play with them.
Sidebar - be warned, I feel a little rant coming on.....WHAT IS IT ABOUT PEOPLE THINKING IT'S OK TO LET BABIES, OTHER THAN YOUR OWN, PLAY WITH YOUR DIRTY FEET! SERIOUSLY LADY! I DON'T KNOW YOU OR WHERE YOUR FOOT HAS BEEN! AND ON THAT NOTE, UNLESS YOU'RE MOMMY, DADDY, OR SELECT FAMILY MEMBERS, DON'T LET A BABY SUCK OR CHEW ON YOUR FINGER BECAUSE THEY WANT TOO! THAT'S WHAT A PACIFIER OR TEETHING RING IS FOR! THAT'S JUST NOT OK, WE DON'T KNOW WHERE YOUR FINGERS HAVE BEEN!
OK, I feel better now, my rant is over. So anyways, thank goodness it was only an hour flight, and also there was a mom and baby behind us that was having an equally fun time in the club. Kayla never really feel asleep and by the time we got to baggage claim she was about ready to pass out.
